Horribly beautiful, and achingly heartbreaking. Kim Lauresen continues the asthetic perfection of his, Of The Wand And The Moon, discography with Live At The Lodge Of Imploded Love on Tesco. A live recording, captured in a darkroom, featuring many of tracks from 2011's The Lone Descent, and an extremely solid studio track, Cancer Called Love, from the TLD sessions. I raved about these tracks then, and they sound every bit as compelling here. Instrumentation is stripped down, but recording quality is immediate and clean. The track, A Pyre Of Black Sunflowers is one of the most completely knee-buckling pieces of music I've heard. I struggle to think of another performer crafting more emotionally powerful material. Immediate purchase.
Available on 10" lp, featuring beautiful silver embossed lettering in an edition of 500. Purchase stateside via the Tesco Industrial Mailorder.
