Eagle Twin - The Feather Tipped The Serpents Scale

Really no reason to post about this record. It's going to get all the attention it needs all on it's own. But i just can't let this one go by, it's just simply too good. The Feather Tipped the Serpents Scale from Eagle Twin is absolutely god tier metal. Crushingly heavy sludge with blues, folk, and doom influence. A shockingly dense onslaught of noise from a mere two piece outfit. Throat singing, suffocating production, lyrics about snakes with horns. Killer.

A record so heavy, it required additional amplification by way of the 27 pound Marantz Model 30. Sixty watts per channel, and we're not talking todays trumped up, plastic cased peak amplification figures. We're talking about 1971, window shaking power. I started to get scared for my hearing at about 5 on the dial, and for my neighbors at about 7. Gatefold jacket, black vinyl. Abuse your eardrums via the best Psych/Stoner distro around, All That Is Heavy.
