Der Blutharsch And The Infinite Church Of The Leading Hand - The Cosmic Trigger

More cerebral dark rock from Albin Julius and company, otherwise known as Der Blutharsch and the Infinte Church Of The Leading Hand, with The Cosmic Trigger on Julius' own WKN. Dense, melodramatic, haunting. Shades of the militaristc marching music from the earlier days of the project are buried deep under layers of psychedelic haze. Theatrical and tense, absolutely everything about this, including the exaggerated, lounge-y vocal feels alive and incredibly authentic. Hallucinatory and intense rock for celebrating the end times. Everything happening outside of the tape scene has no interest for me, with a few exceptions, the past two DB recordings being prime examples.

Can't find an edition size listed anywhere, which I assume means it's a massive pressing. Black vinyl, tip-on jacket stamped with blue foil. Includes a CD of remixes by Geoffroy D. of Derniere Volonte, which are absolutely fantastic. Grab at Tesco.

:Of The Wand And The Moon: - Live At The Lodge Of Imploded Love

Horribly beautiful, and achingly heartbreaking. Kim Lauresen continues the asthetic perfection of his, Of The Wand And The Moon, discography with Live At The Lodge Of Imploded Love on Tesco. A live recording, captured in a darkroom, featuring many of tracks from 2011's The Lone Descent, and an extremely solid studio track, Cancer Called Love, from the TLD sessions. I raved about these tracks then, and they sound every bit as compelling here. Instrumentation is stripped down, but recording quality is immediate and clean. The track, A Pyre Of Black Sunflowers is one of the most completely knee-buckling pieces of music I've heard. I struggle to think of another performer crafting more emotionally powerful material. Immediate purchase.

Available on 10" lp, featuring beautiful silver embossed lettering in an edition of 500. Purchase stateside via the Tesco Industrial Mailorder.

Der Blutharsch And The Infinite Church Of The Leading Hand - The End Of The Beginning

Psychadelic martial folk from industrial legends Der Blutharsch, with The End Of The Beginning, on Tesco. As per the more recent band orinted "Infinite Church Of The Leading Hand" releases, things sound dense, rhythmic, dark, and in the case of this release, more engaging and melodic than I've heard prior. Tracks meld the rock folk sound of prior albums with an incredible sense of purpose, and narrative. Each track sounds bigger than it's individual components, and the album feels more powerful and affecting than it's individual tracks. That's what I tend to enjoy about artists working in the neo folk and martial spaces, a sense of thematic and emotional conviction, and it's all over this tape. I find this an incredibly engaging release with an indescribably perfect sound.

Available in a variety of formats, gatefold CD, vinyl, and cassette. All of which may be obtained via my preferred industrial distro, Tesco USA.

Various Atoms - White Eye of Winter Watching

Incredible double cassette compilation from Hospital Productions. White Eye of Winter Watching is a master class compilation of classic industrial and noise artists. Genre legends such as Genocide Organ, Sutcliffe Jugend, Prurient, The Grey Wolves, and CON-DOM, are all here, mixed in among a whopping total of 52 total tracks. This type of comp is either exactly what you want, or completely objectionable, depending on your interest in the extreme corners of heavy electronics. Check the sound sample to confirm if a reservation has been made for you at the psych ward, and then purchase as I did, at Tesco.
